Colonial Williamsburg

From 1699 to 1780, Williamsburg was the largest and most populous colony in new America. It was here where the foundation of America’s freedoms was formed by the likes of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. For nearly a century, Williamsburg was the capital city, and a thriving community and political hub. After the Revolutionary War, Thomas Jefferson named Richmond the region’s political seat.
